Here’s a quick rundown of what to look forward to, and of course features may be added or removed prior to the RC or full release:

- Tons of new docs from @bernhard on how to [extended and upgrade contracts](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7506), [functional programming 101](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7507), the [DAML Standard Library](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7508), and [testing your contracts](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7509). All the docs are in PRs for now but [docs.daml.com](http://docs.daml.com) will have all of these once 1.6.0 is marked stable.
- Added `undefined` to Prelude so you can declare functions while coding and prototyping without immediately defining them. Thanks @Tamas_Kalcza for adding and @Luciano [for reporting](https://discuss.daml.com/t/feature-req-undefined/1042). [#7058](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7058)
- That pesky and confusing `daml 1.2` header is now deprecated. [#7513](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7513)
- You can now specify DAML Navigator’s port with `--navigator-port` in `daml start` [#7401](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7401)
- `DA.Date.date` now properly raises an error when a date is outside the valid range. Thanks to @Sofia_Faro for fixing and @gyorgybalazsi for reporting! [#7393](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7393)
- You can now `queryContractKey` in DAML Script which is the ContractKey equivalent of `queryContractId` [#7354](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7354)
- `streamQueries` and `streamFetchByKeys` (in the JavaScript libraries) have had new methods added that can take multiple queries/keys and return a union of them [#7066](https://github.com/digital-asset/daml/pull/7066)
