For getting DAML in your path you can do the following depending on which shell you’re using.

To determine the shell you’re using you can run:

```haskell
echo $0
```

It’ll tell you either `~bash` or `zsh`, once you’ve figured that out run one of the sets of commands below

Bash:

```haskell
echo "export PATH=$HOME/.daml/bin:$PATH" >> ~/.bash_profile
source ~/.bash_profile
```

Zsh:

```haskell
echo "export PATH=$HOME/.daml/bin:$PATH" >> ~/.zshrc
echo "fpath=(~/.daml/zsh $fpath)" >> ~/.zshrc
source ~/.zshrc
```
