> \## Summary
> This proposal introduces a reusable delegated automation capability for Canton applications, allowing users to authorize bounded, typed automated actions without giving an automation service access to their signing credentials or principal \`actAs\` rights.
>
> It delivers an open source Daml authorization package, TypeScript reference runner, TestNet validation, independent ecosystem evaluation, security review, standards candidate, and 12 months of maintenance.

## Summary

A reusable standard for the delegation pattern in Daml. Delegation becomes a scoped, revocable authorization grant. A user can let another party (e.g. an automation operator) execute one specific action on their behalf. Each grant is bounded by built-in constraints (max executions, expiry, cooldown) plus any app-defined rules. All limits are enforced on-ledger, so even a faulty or compromised runner can’t exceed what was granted
We’ll be also building a UI dashboard to view all your authorization grants, and the ability to revoke them from UI (something like revoke.cash)

If this is something you’d be open to championing, or if you can point us to someone who might be a good fit, we’d really appreciate it.

Happy to answer any questions
Thank you.
