Featured App Guidance v2.0b takes effect today, Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET (14:00 UTC). At the same time, the Super Validator vote lowering the featured app reward cap from $1.50 to $0.79 comes into force.
From 9:00 AM ET, all application markers must follow the 2.0b marker guidance:
- Markers must be set at 1:1 with the burn they correspond to.
- Markers must be submitted within two reward rounds of that burn.
- Burn is eligible for markers only while the validator’s traffic balance is below its total traffic consumption over the preceding 24 hours.
- Featured asset parties must mark only at the asset weights set out in the guidance and in the context of asset-moving apps.
The Accountability Committee will measure each app’s marker-to-burn ratio from 14:00 UTC today. The guidance says the ratio should be locked at 1:1, and it treats stretching the tolerances as grounds for review. Any app whose ratio exceeds 103% may therefore be paused without further warning, with reviews beginning as early as tomorrow, November 6.
Please update your marker automation before 9:00 AM ET, so that every marker submitted from that time is at 1:1. If you expect a significant change in your activity, or are unsure whether a practice complies, please contact Accountability in advance.
Regards,
Featured Application Accountability Committee
